The Philips PerfectCare Viva iron is suitable for a first time steam generator user, as it gets through creases two times faster than a normal iron*. Philips Perfectcare OptimalTEMP technology allows you to iron all garments on one setting, so there is no need to wait for the iron to heat up or cool down when you change fabrics.

The Perfectcare technology powers through creases by having the optimal combination of both heat and steam. This means that you can iron through a pile of washing without having to adjust temperatures, whilst achieving good results.

Pressurised steam is measured in bars. Smart Calc Clean System

 

 

The Smart Calc clean system is hassle-free and ensures effective scale removal to extend the life of your steam generator. After every 10 hours of ironing, the reminder light indicates that your steam generator needs descaling. Simply open the Smart Calc clean system outlet on the side of the base when the unit is cool, collect any water that flows out into the smart calc clean container and dispose. This process takes less than a minute for fast and easy maintenance - as easy as emptying your water tank. If the unit is not descaled after 1 hour of the reminder light coming on, the steam function becomes disabled to protect the steam generator. After descaling is done, the steam function is restored.
